Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of YouOwe. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

2. Service Description

YouOwe helps users track shared expenses and ledger activity. We may update, improve, or discontinue features at any time to keep the service reliable and secure.

3. Free Plan and Pro Billing

Free includes account setup and up to 25 transactions per month. Pro is $6/month. For a shared ledger, only one participant needs Pro for both participants to add unlimited transactions to that ledger.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the service, interfere with system operation, attempt unauthorized access, or upload unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Termination

You may stop using YouOwe at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, security risks, or legal reasons. Sections intended to survive termination remain in effect.

6. Disclaimers and Liability

The service is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, YouOwe disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date and provide notice when required. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
